RULES & REGULATION

All participants are required to read and understand the rules and regulations below before
registering for the Semarang 10K.

  1. Categories offered in this race are 10K Open, 10K National, 10K Master 40+ and 10K Student.
  2. The distance obtained at the last measurement is 10.1 KM
  3. Indonesian & foreign nationals can register for this race.
  4. Minimum age requirement to participate is fourteen (14) years old on race day (born in 2009), and National Master 40+ is minimum of forty (40) years old on race day (born in 1983)
  5. The 10K-Student podium category is specifically intended for invited participants who have the following conditions: (a) active student status, (b) domicile in Central Java, (c) and have an age range of 14 – 17 years on competition day (17 December 2023 ).
    Active student status must be proven in the form of valid student identity card and/or letter of statement from the respective school.
    Invited participants whom, on the day of the competition, are found not to have fulfilled one of the conditions mentioned above, will be automatically disqualified.
  6. Participants who are under the age of 17 (seventeen) on race day are required to submit a parental consent letter. A format of the letter can be downloaded HERE.
  7. Prizes are given to both Male and Female each category.
  8. All citizens who registered in the 10K Open category are entitled to winning the Open category podiums
  9. Indonesian citizens who registered in the 10K National category are entitled to winning the National category podiums
  10. National Master 40+ podiums are ONLY available for eligible Indonesian citizens who registered in the 10K National Category. Those who have won the National podium are not eligible for the National Master 40+ podium, and vice versa
  11. 10K Student podium winners are given to eligible Indonesian citizens who registered in the 10K Student category and have met all of the requirements as a 10K Student participant.
  12. Participants are advised to seek medical advice from doctor regarding their health condition prior to taking part in the race.
  13. Participants acknowledge and accept that their participation in this race carry a potential risk that can result in injury, disability, or even death.
  14. Race registration is final and cannot be transferred. Registration to this race means participant accepts fully the rules and regulations stated. Participant who transferred his/her bib number is subject to disqualification from the race.
  15. Registration fee is non-refundable. Race organizer reserves the right to turn down confirmed registration if any information on entry form is proved to be false.
  16. Inspection will be conducted throughout the race to ensure race rules and regulations are followed.
  17. Should the event be cancelled due to circumstance beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm, natural disaster or public rally/demonstration), there shall be no refund of the entry fees paid and the Organizer shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
  18. The organizers do not provide accommodation for participants
  1. Registrants must be capable of completing the full distance, start line to finish line, within event time requirement of 2 (two) hours from start time (gun time)
  2. Start time limit is 10 minutes from gun start. Participants who have not crossed the start line after the 10 minutes time limit has passed will be declared DNS (Did Not Start) and will not receive a finisher medal.
  3. Completion of the online registration form confirms that all data has been filled in correctly and can be accounted for by the participants. False information on the online registration form will be to the disadvantage of the participant and may result in disqualification from the race
  4. The submission of online registration form is considered as an acknowledgement and acceptance of the race rules and regulations
  5. Confirmed registration will be sent after payment is accepted and a registration ID number is issued.
  6. Race organizer reserves the rights to close the registration before the registration deadline when the race quota is filled.
  7. The Participant agrees to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the participant in the registration form. The Organizers may contact the Participant from time to time by email. Any notification sent to the email address registered with the Organizers shall be deemed as received by the Participant.
  8. Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred/ sold to any other person.
  9. Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bibs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.
  10. During the race pack collection, bib number will be given upon the submission of race registration confirmation and identification card.
  11. The schedule and location of the race pack collection will be informed through the website, and registered e-mail, no later than 3 days prior to the collection schedule.
  12. Race pack cannot be mailed and cannot be collected on race day.
  13. If a participant is found to have registered for two different categories under the same name, organizer reserves the right to withhold one of the bib number.
  14. Bibs and race pack can be collected by a representative by presenting the registration confirmation, signed authorization form and a copy of the participant’s ID (KTP). You can download the authorization form HERE
  15. A representative may collect a maximum of three (3) race packs in one (1) queueing.
  16. Participant who is found to commit unsportsmanship conduct that includes but not limited to: blocking, obstructing other participants and/or the run course will be automatically disqualified from the race. Also participants who seek time advantage by running a shortened distance of the race, riding a vehicle, and other fraud / violation of the provisions of the race directly subject to disqualification
  17. Participants who use or carry a bib / race number more than 1 when competing on the race day will be subject to disqualification
  18. Race bib must be clearly visible to organizers and marshal during the race. Organizer and marshal reserve the right to ask runner to show their bib or ask runners to correct the bib position during the run
  19. Hydration stations will be available along the course at KM2.5, KM5, KM7, and at the finish line.
  20. NO UNOFFICIAL VEHICLES, BIKES, IN-LINE SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, BABY JOGGERS, PRAMS (OF ANY DESCRIPTION) WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE
  21. Other vehicles such as roller skates, wheelchairs, inline skates, skateboards, strollers, baby joggers, as well as pets, are strictly prohibited on the race route.
  22. Race time will be displayed at the start and finish line. Participants are allowed to complete the course in two (2) hours from start time (gun time).
  23. Participants who cross the finish line before the cut-off time are entitled to receive a finisher medal. Participants who do not complete the race after the cut-off time (COT) are not eligible to receive a finisher medal.
  24. Road safety is under control of the Police Department, Transportation Services. Medical
    services are provided by the race organizer in cooperation with local hospitals and care takers. Medical personnel are allowed to stop participants they see medically unable to continue the race.
  25. Timekeeping will be prepared for every category. All race bibs will be equipped with a timing tag. Check points will be placed at the start/finish line, and a designated timing points. Participants who failed to follow the race course will be disqualified from the race.
  26. Race winners must wear own race bib chip and tag. Winners must provide proof of identification to redeem the prize.
  27. Winner who cannot provide proof of identification is subject to disqualification and may not redeem the prize
  28. Winners will be determined by the first order of runners that passes the finish line according to gun time.
  29. Winner announcement and prize presentation will be done once organizer has verified the potential winners and that the potential winners have followed all rules and regulations.
  30. If there are potential winners who are proven to be under the age of 14 on race day (December 17, 2023), the committee will disqualify the prospective winner and the winning candidate is not entitled to the winner prize.
  31. The winning prize disbursement process will be carried out within 25 (twenty five) working days from the Competition Day. Winners must ensure the accuracy of their bank account number, address and other information required by the Competition Organizer. Failure to provide accurate information will impact the duration of the prize disbursement process, and this is the sole responsibility of the relevant Winner.
  32. Runners expressly and exclusively grant race organizers and its assigns, the irrevocable right to use a runner’s name, likeness, biography, factually or otherwise in connection with the production, the distribution and exploitation of the pictures related to the running event, world-wide in any and all devices and media.
  33. Should the event be cancelled due to circumstance beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm, natural disaster or public rally/demonstration), there shall be no refund of the entry fees paid and the Organizer shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
  34. Organizer has the right to change the rules and regulations as deemed necessary and will communicate it through all communication channel by December 16th 2023 at 18:00
  35. If there are differences in meaning in the two language versions, it will refer to the Indonesian language version.
  36. Matters that have not been listed in this regulation can be added at later time.
